Bristol Hospital Development Foundation Golf Tournament Raises More Than $100,000 For New Sleep Cent

Avon, CT (June 28, 2011)- The Bristol Hospital Development Foundation raises more than $100,000 in support of the hospital’s new sleep center.

Close to 200 golfers and over 20 sponsors participated in the golf tournament, which was held on Monday, June 13th at the Golf Club of Avon. The funds raised from the tournament will be used to help build Bristol Hospital’s new Sleep Center which is scheduled to open this August and will be under the medical direction of Dr. Brimal B. Patel, who has completed fellowship training in Sleep Medicine.

Eva Wickwire, Chief Development Office at the Bristol Hospital Development Foundation said, “we are so thankful to the sponsors and players who participated in the tournament this year. With their support, the sleep center will provide an important opportunity for care and research for patients in the greater Bristol community.”

CWPM, LLC was the Grand Tournament Sponsor and Jerry Kristafer, WDRC 102.9 FM served as the celebrity emcee for the event. The tournament included a silent and live auctions, skins game, 50/50 raffle and additional opportunities for support.
