Bristol Hospital Raises $1,400 for Beekley Center for Breast Health at the Charity Cycling Challenge

Bristol, CT (April 11, 2011) – Gold’s Gym located at 400 Middle Street, Bristol, in partnership with the Central CT Chambers of Commerce, held its fourth annual Charity Cycling Challenge (CCC) on Saturday, March 26, 2011. The mission of CCC is to provide support for those in need throughout local communities, while promoting the importance of a fit and healthy lifestyle. The CCC is an indoor cycling event that allows participants to form teams to ride and raise money for their favorite charitable organization.

In 2010, the Bristol Hospital Wheels of Fortune team raised $945.00 in support of the Beekley Center for Breast Health and Wellness at Bristol Hospital. The team competed again this year raising over $1,400 for the Beekley Center. The team is grateful to everyone who supported them and this worthy cause.

“It is through the support of our community that we are able to raise these funds for the Beekley Center for Breast Health. We are thrilled to have participated again this year and are already looking forward to building our team for next year”, said Eva Wickwire, Chief Development Office at the Bristol Hospital Development Foundation.
