BRISTOL, Conn.—Soccer teams from Bristol’s two high schools donated $807 to Bristol Hospital and its Community Breast Health Project. The funds were collected from a recent soccer game between Bristol Central and Bristol Eastern High School.
The goal of the Bristol Community Breast Health Project is to save the lives of women in the Greater Bristol area by providing education, awareness and financial assistance to cover the cost of mammograms. In addition to Bristol Hospital, the sponsors of the Bristol Community Breast Health Project include Beekley Corporation, Team Towanda, Direct from the Heart and the Charlotte Johnson Hollfelder Foundation.
Players from both teams recently presented a check to the Bristol Hospital Development Foundation. In attendance at the check presentation included (from left): representing Bristol Eastern High School: Nick Roberts, Amanda Zdun, Ryan Chrasson, Kayla Violette and Manny Calderon; from the Bristol Hospital Development Foundation, Eva Wickwire, assistant vice president and chief development officer; and from Bristol Central High School: Sean Heiser, Breanna Gagnon, John Ouellette and Lauren Bossi.
