BRISTOL, Conn.—The Bristol Development Foundation held its “14th Annual Festival of Wines and Spirits” at Yarde Metals in Southington on Saturday, March 24. A record number of attendees—268 total—attended the event which raised more than $50,000. The event also featured dozens of domestic and imported wines, beers and spirits for guests to sample. All funds raised will help purchase a new CT Scanner for the Bristol Hospital Radiology Department.
Those in attendance included U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal, (D-Conn.), who was one of the event guest speakers and is shown with (from left): Marie O’Brien, chairman of the Bristol Hospital Board of Directors, and president and chief executive officer of the Connecticut Development Authority; and Eva Wickwire, assistant vice president and chief development officer of the Bristol Hospital Development Foundation.
