Dr. Marvin McMillen Joins Bristol Hospital As Medical Director Of Surgical Services

BRISTOL, Conn— Marvin McMillen, MD, FACS, MACP, of Harwinton, recently joined the medical staff of the Bristol Hospital Multi-Specialty Group, Inc, where he serves as medical director of surgical services.
 
Dr. McMillen also is an attending critical care physician in the Intensive Care Unit, where he provides clinical general surgery coverage. Additionally, he supervises the physician assistants in the Division of General Surgery.
 
Dr. McMillen comes to Bristol Hospital from Beth Israel Medical Center where he served as chief of the Division of Surgical Critical Care and Acute Care Surgery. 
 
He completed his surgical training at SUNY Buffalo and at the University of Minnesota. Dr. McMillen completed his critical care training at the University of Minnesota, and his internal medicine training at SUNY Buffalo and Yale University. He received his medical degree from SUNY at Buffalo School of Medicine and he received his bachelor’s degree SUNY Buffalo as well.
 
Dr. McMillen is board-certified in general surgery, surgical critical care and internal medicine. He is a member of numerous professional organizations including the American College of Surgery—Surgery Biology Club III; the American College of Physicians and the Society of Critical Care Medicine.
