BRISTOL, Conn. — The Parent and Child Center at Bristol Hospital was recently awarded an official citation by the Connecticut General Assembly. The citation recognizes the Parent and Child Center’s efforts with its Blue Ribbon Campaign which took place in April and raises awareness of child abuse. April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month and all the funds raised from the sale of blue ribbons help support the center’s educational programs including classes on communicating with your child, discipline and dealing with a child’s anger.
The citation was introduced by members of the Bristol delegation including Rep. Frank Nicastro, (D-Bristol); Rep. Christopher Wright, (D-Bristol); Rep. Whit Betts, (R-Bristol) and Sen.
