Bristol Hospital Auxiliary
The Bristol Hospital Auxiliary, originally a group of bandage wrappers and general volunteers, is today a modern and sophisticated organization of dedicated individuals with many skills and talents providing vital support for the hospital. The Auxiliary:
- Administers the gift shop
- Undertakes major fund raising activities
- Provides scholarship awards to students pursuing health care careers
The Auxiliary also serves as a community advocate, through its support of a wide range of health education programs. Dedicated Auxillians commit their time to further the cause of linking Bristol Hospital with the community via various exciting fundraising activities and events.
One of the Auxiliary's largest events is the Annual Ball. This glamorous much-anticipated event takes on a different theme each year and all are welcome to attend. The 2008 Ball will be held Friday, December 5 at the fabulous new Riverview in Simsbury, over looking the Farmington River, and features the theme, Diamonds!
