12th Annual Festival of Wines & Spirits

The Festival of Wines & Spirits was hosted by Yarde Metals in Southington, Connecticut on Saturday, March 27, 2010. The event was attended by over 250 corporate sponsors, community leaders, physicians, hospital employees and supporters of Bristol Hospital.

The 12th annual Festival chaired by Drs.Christopher Leary and John Walker along with Dr. Michael Whaley, Chief of Cardiology as the Honorary Chairman was enjoyed by all who attended and netted over $48,000 to support the Cardiology program at Bristol Hospital. During the evening a silent auction and raffle were held, contributing excitement to the overall event. Throughout the evening guests were treated to a selection of wines from more than 20 well known wine and spirit vendors, while enjoying various food stations.

A highlight of the evening was a special announcement by the Guida family committing an additional $100,000 toward the renovation of the Heartworks Cardiac Rehabilitation Department in loving memory of Bernie J. Guida, who was devoted to making a difference for the patients and community.
