Letter from the President

Welcome to Bristol Hospital and Health Care Group. Our website was designed to help you navigate your way around easily to find information on our services, our staff and our physicians.

We have an outstanding medical staff of more than 160 physicians, representing nearly 30 specialties; and, with our staff of more than 1,200 dedicated employees, Bristol Hospital is our community's center of medical excellence - serving Bristol and the surrounding towns, and more than 130,000 people.

This is a remarkable time of challenge and change for Bristol Hospital and Health Care Group. As we build on a tradition of care in which we take great pride, we are constantly searching for better ways of providing care for those who need us. By continually reinvesting in, and upgrading our facilities, we offer some of the latest diagnostic, surgical, and treatment services available. We will continue to build on our strengths, as we strive to provide outstanding care for our patients, for our community, for you and your family.

People ask me all the time how they can help their community hospital to ensure that it is there when they need it most. I tell them that the most important thing they can do is support Bristol Hospital, its medical staff and our healthcare partners by making them their healthcare providers of choice.

Quality of care for our patients is a constant effort. Just as our focus with customer service is to be the best we can be - this same culture of excellence applies to our clinical skills. Changes in technology and clinical treatments mean that we must have methods to continually review our processes, look for trends and share best practices with others.
