Bristol Hospital Begins First Phase Of New Furniture Upgrade

BRISTOL, Conn.—On Thursday, Aug. 2, Bristol Hospital began the first of a multi-phase installation of new hospital furniture in all its medical/surgical inpatient rooms. A team of Bristol Hospital employees and junior volunteers helped deliver and install 182 new Stryker Medical bedside stands and over the bed table stands.
All the new furniture was cleaned and wiped down with a decontaminant before being delivered to the patient rooms. Phase two of the new furniture upgrade—which includes the delivery of new hospital beds—is scheduled to take place later this month.
Shown delivering two of the bedside stands are (from left): Shannon Grad, RN, MSN, NEA-BC, director of clinical excellence and OB services; and Stephanie Adkins, RN, MSN, CCRN, operations manager for the intensive care unit and respiratory therapy.
