Mayor Art Ward Presents Hospital Week Proclamation To Bristol Hospital

BRISTOL, Conn.— Bristol Hospital celebrated National Hospital Week and the theme, “A Guiding Light for Changing Times,” with several events recognizing its 1,600-plus loyal employees and medical staff members. Staff from all three shifts were treated to a week-long array of deserts including ice cream sundaes, funnel cakes and pretzels that were served by members of the hospital’s Leadership team.
On Thursday May 16, Bristol Mayor Art Ward visited the hospital to present a proclamation for Hospital Week to the staff. Mayor Ward (far right) is shown with (from left), Kurt A. Another annual tradition of Hospital Week are the gift baskets that are donated and made by numerous departments and then raffled off on Friday. This year’s basket event included more than 20 gift baskets with themes ranging from “Fun in the Sun” to “Pampered Princess.” The proceeds from the basket raffle ticket sales will help purchase rollaway beds for families of inpatients.
